Samee Ullah

Samee Ullah leads the strategic campaign to end the subcontractor system for food delivery workers in Germany.

Since joining Lieferando in 2020, he has evolved from a frontline worker into a pivotal advocate for labor rights. In 2023, he founded a self-organized collective of migrant workers, uniting one of the most vulnerable sectors of the workforce to demand systemic reform.

As a member of Lieferando Workers Collective, Samee spearheaded the campaign against the exploitative subcontractor system in Germany. His grassroots mobilization was instrumental in the introduction of the Direktanstellungsgebot bill in the German Federal Parliament in January 2026 (https://www.bundestag.de/dokumente/textarchiv/2026/kw05-de-essenslieferdienste-1139772).

Today, he continues to lead the campaign for this landmark legislation, fighting to ensure direct employment, security, and dignity for all food delivery workers across the country.
